Embarking on a Journey of Inspiration: An In-Depth Interview with Christi Pratte

Christi Pratte

What makes you a "Divine Woman in Business? ✨What is your story?

To me, being a 'Divine Woman in Business' means trusting your soul's purpose, even when it doesn't make sense in the moment, and accepting the responsibility to pursue it because you know it will serve others.

My story is a testament to this.

For 7 years I worked simultaneously as a kindergarten teacher, kickboxing instructor, coffee house manager & barista, tutor, and waitress at a local winery (which were all women-owned businesses and entrepreneurial / start up environments...dots that connected later!)

In the small glimpses of free time, I delved into my love for writing by starting a personal development blog called The Passion Warrior Project (which has now been rebranded into HustlePretty.Co).

I truly didn't have any expectation for it, it was just my place to process, evolve, and empower others along the way. I was stunned when it reached global readership, which opened up the invitation to contribute to various women's empowerment magazines. Collectively, the publications spanned a readership of over 1 million!

More than anything else, I was moved by the messages I would receive from the women who were reading my articles. They would tell me how inspired they felt or how encouraged they were to pursue their own dreams. The power of the pen was not lost on me and my heart desired to use my talents in a bigger way, I just wasn't sure what that looked like.

About a year later, in 2019, I saw a job posting for a copywriter position at a global, multi-million dollar women's empowerment company. With passion and a pen, I applied. Again, no hope or expectation, it was just the next aligned step I felt intuitively guided toward.

I was surprised to receive an interview.

For 3 months the company had me complete trial projects. And it was a week before the pandemic when I finally received the position and my entire life changed!

In April of 2020 I founded Ghost Girl - a writing boutique for feminine leaders.

The mission has always been to amplify female voices and showcase fascinating stories that exude an epic comeback. The beauty is that each unique story has a universal message, and when one woman rises through her story's power, we all rise.

I'm proud to say that in July of 2023, I took Ghost Girl full time! I now serve many incredible, heart-centered fempreneurs who are making immense waves of change in the world. It's an honor to witness, I'm so blessed!

What is a story of strength, survival or hardship you have overcome and what did that teach you?

In 2018, I was bouncing around at all those different jobs (which I loved, btw), when I was confronted with a life-altering situation that forced me to slow down for the first time in a long time. One of those situations that throw you to your knees, take your breath away, and hit pause on reality.

I call this the divine intervention. You know how they say "what you resist persists"?

If you don't listen to the whispers of your intuition, they will become roars. I can now say this is true. I was trying so hard to silence the whispers out of fear of the unknown, that God had to make the move for me because I never would have done it for myself.

And while the experience was painful to go through, I couldn't be more grateful for it now.

During that time I drew closer to loved ones. I learned a lot about myself. And I got clear on what I wanted to do.

Not even so much what I wanted to do, as much as what I was meant to do - my unique soul's calling. Writing became the clear answer, even though the "how" wasn't clear yet.

From there, all I had to do was say yes and doors started to open almost effortlessly. It confirmed to me that I was on the right path...today I can say I absolutely was!

The biggest lesson I learned from this is to LISTEN to your intuition, TRUST that the next steps will appear, and take ACTION on it. You are stronger than you think and more capable than you give yourself credit for.

"What advice would you give to other women to succeed as "Divine Women" in their lives?"

1. Say Yes and then figure it out after: Too many times we fear rejection or the unknown so much that we're the only ones saying no to our own dreams. Say YES, and be confident that you will be guided to all that you need to make it happen.

2. Keep your heart at the center of your service: When you lead with love and grace, the universe conspires in your favor. It can feel that energy, as can others. Always check in with yourself and your intentions, and you'll never fail!

3. Embrace the Art of Reinvention: Don't be afraid to grow, change, and evolve. You're meant to, life's a canvas and your life gets to be a masterpiece of your own creation. There will be challenges, but when you perceive it through the lens of moving you closer to your calling, it's a lot more peaceful. Be passionate, but surrender to life's ebbs & flows too.
