Unlocking the Keys to Success: An Interview with Katharin Mraz

What makes you a "Divine Woman in Business? ✨What is your story?

I'm a 5x CEO, and am a powerhouse in an extremely difficult and male dominated industry, the entertainment industry. Working every angle of the business from all sides of the camera I have been carving my own path through this world since I was a child.

I am proud to say that I'm changing the way people create art, advertising, and entertainment. Originally born in Korean, and abandoned as a baby, I am a true orphan immigrant, proud mother, and entrepreneur in every way, shape, and form.

Ambitious, hard-working, and always pushing myself to make positive changes in the world, especially for other women, Bipoc, immigrants, and those under or mis-represented in the media.

With two feature films (You're OUT!, Schizolove) under my belt as both producer and director, an award-winning short film finishing up it's festival run, and now developing a TV series I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon!

"What is a story of strength, survival or hardship you have overcome and what did that teach you?

Being a Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse survivor, I have spent my whole life doing what I can to overcome the hardships I went through earlier in my life. Leading to drug abuse, I eventually found serenity in parenting and motherhood.

Eventually leaving my ex-husband, I took my child back home to Chicago to raise in my hometown, received my Associates in Art at the College of Dupage, while building a media empire to protect and save us from poverty, homelessness, and dependency on anyone else.

"What advice would you give to other women to succeed as "Divine Women" in their lives?"

  1. Don't be afraid to say goodbye to harmful people who hold you back, no matter how much you think you need them you need yourself more.

  1. Smile a lot, and don't take life too seriously. Stressing out about the small stuff will make the big stuff much harder to work through and overcome.

  1. Everything changes, so keep moving, and remember half of success is outlasting the competition.
